Sourced from the finest of European raw hides and produced by a traditional family owned tannery in the foot hills of the European alps, it is truly a hidden gem when it comes to class and comfort.
It’s soft-waxed surface feels silky and substantial to the hand and the classic appearance has a simple and uncomplicated high-quality aesthetic.
Aniline leather is the highest quality leather – natural, soft and gracefully supple. With minimal processing, the leather displays the natural characteristics of the hides and develops a beautiful patina that will emerge over time.
Aniline leather is dyed exclusively with water-based dyes, colouring the leather without producing a uniform surface whilst retaining the variations of the hide’s natural surface.
The hide size, thickness and finish of Toledo make it suitable for upholstery, wall panelling and curtains in commercial, residential and hospitality projects. It requires a two-week lead time from Europe and is available with the option of basket weave and pinpoint perforation for visual interest and texture.
